L Class Firmware Updater
All L Class products firmware updates are user-installable and take only a few minutes to complete. While the preferred method for updating your L Class products is to use the QSC SysNav™ App, there are certain cases where the L Class Firmware Updater App should be used:
- To service and update L Class loudspeakers without using the SysNav App
- If you need to update many L Class loudspeakers at the same time (more than 10 units)
- To downgrade the L Class firmware to an earlier firmware version (not available yet)

QSC L Class Firmware Updater
Version 1.1.0068 (September 19, 2023)
The QSC L Class Firmware Updater is a Windows application that is used to update the firmware of QSC L Class loudspeakers, without using the QSC SysNav App, in certain particular cases.

LA108 active line array loudspeaker 8-inch 2-way - firmware version 1.01.0033 and higher
LA112 active line array loudspeaker 12-inch 2-way - firmware version 1.01.0033 and higher
Known Issues in Loudspeaker Firmware 1.1.0068
- Some of the L Class loudspeaker in a large array show question marks for their splay angles.
- Solution - Wait until IR discovery has completed (all the boxes should show the same box count and angles) before optimizing or changing settings. This can take up to 90 seconds on a larger array.
- In large array, pressing ‘Optimize’ only optimizes some of the boxes. After waiting, all of the boxes return to un-optimized (orange bar).
- Solution - Press Optimize again. It is likely the boxes were in the middle of a discovery process.
- In a large array, a single box (usually one, possibly more) reports un-optimized status (orange bar) while the rest of the array reports optimized (green bar).
- Solution - This issue occurs when pressing the optimize button before the IR discovery has completed. Pressing the optimize button again will resolve the issue.
- In a large array, the IR discovery process does not complete in 90 seconds. In other words, the Home Screen on some of the boxes never shows the correct number of boxes or angles.
- Solution - This issue occurs the most frequently when not turning on all of the boxes simultaneously (or sequentially). Pressing optimize will usually resolve the issue. Rebooting the complete array simultaneously works as well and may be preferable in case where a user does not want to lose HF Shading settings.
- AC Low warning screen flashes. A single temporary event can usually be safely ignored, particularly when it occurs in conjunction with another even such as boot-up, changing state (Active, Mute, Standby), or optimizing.
- Some of the screens have refresh issues (flickering while changing values).
- On boot-up, the status icons on the Home Screen (EQ and HPF) are orange when they are expected to be gray.
- Solution - Optimizing the boxes usually resolves the issue.
- Switching between DHCP and Static on the RUI can cause the box to become unresponsive on the network or crash.
- Solution - Reboot the loudspeaker(s) after making the change.
- On several RUI screens, the screen may not refresh to show a remotely modified parameter.
- Solution - Avoid attempting to change parameters from two boxes at the same time.
- Under certain conditions, it is possible to get an OCP warning screen that persists even after the OCP event has passed.
- Solution - Audio will continue to pass, and IR and network communication are not interrupted. Power cycling the loudspeaker will resolve the issue.
