ARCHITECTS & ENGINEERS SPECIFICATIONS—AC-C6T The AC-C6T AcousticCoverage series loudspeaker shall be a two-way, full-range transducer of ceiling-mount design. The woofer shall use a 6-inch (152 mm) polypropylene cone with butyl rubber surround. The coaxially mounted .86-inch (22 mm) silk dome tweeter shall be sensitivity matched to the woofer. The loudspeaker shall include a 30-watt low-saturation/low-loss transformer with multiple selectable taps, including an 8Ω bypass and nine wattage settings for use on 70- or 100-volt distributed lines. The loudspeaker shall provide usable response down to 65 Hz. It shall have broad-band sensitivity of 89 dB (2.83 V at 1 m) and conical coverage (-6 dB) of 110° between 500 Hz and 5 kHz. Maximum SPL output shall be 104 dB continuous and 110 dB peak. The loudspeaker shall be mounted in an optimally tuned enclosure made up of a ported baffle of painted ABS polymer and a galvanized steel backcan with a safety tether tab for seismically sensitive installations. The enclosure's mounting clamps shall accommodate ceiling thicknesses from 6.35 mm (1/4”) to 38.1 mm (1.5”). The round loudspeaker grille shall be made of steel and painted in UV-resistant RAL 9010 white that can be over-painted in any color. Connection to the loudspeaker shall be via a 4-pole Euroblock connector, located under a quick access swivel plate, that accepts four 18AWG pairs and enables loop-through wiring. The loudspeaker shall require a round mounting hole of 229 mm (9 in) with a minimum depth of 213 mm (8.4 in). The overall diameter of the bezel shall be 260 mm (10.24 in). Rails and a C-ring shall be included to enable mounting in ceiling tile. The loudspeaker shall weigh 3.5 kg (7.6 lbs). It shall be UL1840 and UL2043 listed, safe for use in air handling space.
