ARCHITECTS & ENGINEERS SPECIFICATIONS—AC-C2T The loudspeaker shall be of a ceiling-mount design, with a transformer suitable for use on 70- or 100-volt distributed lines. It shall use a 2.75-inch, weather-treated paper cone full-range transducer with a ported enclosure that has usable response down to 70 Hz. It shall have a broad band sensitivity of 84 dB (2.83 V at 1 m) and a conical -6 dB beam width of 170 degrees at 1 kHz, and up to 150 degrees over 500 Hz to 5 kHz. The transformer shall have selectable power taps ranging from 1 to 16 watts, plus an 8-ohm bypass. The loudspeaker grille shall be round and made of perforated powder coated steel, colored RAL 9010 white. The baffle and back can shall be cylindrical, with captive “dog ear” mounting clamps that accommodate ceiling thicknesses from 6.3 mm (1/4”) to 38.1 mm (1.5”). The baffle shall be made of painted ABS plastic and the back can, powder-coated steel with a safety tab to meet seismic codes. The loudspeaker shall be UL1840 and UL2043 listed, safe for use in an air plenum. Electrical connection shall be through a 4-pole detachable Euroblock. The loudspeaker shall require a round cut-out hole of 181.5 mm or 7.15 inches, and a minimum depth of 191 mm (7.52 in). The overall diameter of the bezel shall be 214 mm (8.4 in). It shall have rails and a C-ring available to allow mounting in ceiling tile. The loudspeaker shall weigh 1.9 kg or 4.2 pounds. The loudspeaker shall be the QSC AC-C2T.
