Costa Mesa, Calif. - (June 8, 2017) – [Fr, Es] – QSC, LLC, today announced that it has joined the Logitech Collaboration Program (LCP) as a Integration partner in the program’s Complementary Technology Provider track. The companies have joined forces to integrate the QSC Q-SYS™ Platform and Logitech SmartDock for Skype Room System meeting room solution. When SmartDock is combined with the Q-SYS Platform, meeting room users can launch a meeting with a single touch while taking advantage of the enterprise capabilities found in the Q-SYS Platform.
Q-SYS uses standard networking technology to add scalability and install flexibility to the best-in-class in-room meeting experience provided by Logitech SmartDock. Network-based processed audio, including discrete acoustic echo cancellation, noise reduction and meeting room specific automixer technology are presented from Q-SYS to SmartDock using a single, driverless USB connection.
“QSC takes an IT-centric approach to video conferencing by utilizing standard network technology for audio, video and control (AV&C) transport and distribution. It also leverages driverless USB connectivity to any in-room solution offering software-based video conferencing like the Logitech SmartDock for Skype Room Systems.” said Martin Barbour, Product Manager for Installed Systems at QSC. “We believe that our inclusion in the Logitech Collaboration Program will encourage the integration of our two platforms to achieve the best user experience possible.”
“Logitech SmartDock allows users to easily start video calls with one touch and streamline the overall collaboration experience,” said Sudeep Trivedi, head of Business Development and Partnerships for Logitech Video Collaboration. “Adding additional enterprise meeting room capabilities provided by the Q-SYS Platform further enhances our solution and provides users with a robust meeting room experience. Adding QSC to our LCP offers end users another reliable option to enhance their video conferencing experience.”
At InfoComm, attendees can experience this collaborative solution at the QSC booth (5645). They will see how easy it is to connect the Logitech SmartDock to the Q-SYS AV-to-USB Bridging solution. Attendees will also be able to access all Skype for Business controls and Q-SYS related audio, video and environmental controls using a customized user control interface.
