A Golden Experience for Warrior Fans

Golden State Warrior fans are rejoicing as the Chase Center recently opened a new flagship retail store in San Francisco’s Mission Bay neighborhood. Operated by Fanatics, the 10,000-square-foot multi-level store has the largest selection of licensed Warriors merchandise available and the venue is leveraging technology to greet visitors with engaging content. They selected the Q-SYS Ecosystem to provide network audio and control throughout the retail outlet.  Las Vegas-based systems integrator AV Technology Systems designed the system around a Q-SYS Core 110f Unified processor, which manages audio and control processing throughout the shop’s ten zones. Q-SYS allows integrators to bypass complicated control processing hardware, and AV Technology Systems leveraged this feature by adding Q-SYS network touch screen controllers as well as wireless control on an iPad using…

Commissioning Goes Remote with Q-SYS Ecosystem

Nestled in the foothills of the beautiful Uinta Mountains in southwest Wyoming, Uinta County School District #1 enrolls just under 3,000 students. As discussions for a new boardroom progressed with AV integrator Performance Audio, geographical location and budget concerns necessitated the need for a fully remote design and commisioning process. This made the Q-SYS Audio, Video and Control Ecosystem the perfect fit for the job. A Q-SYS Core 110f Unified processor manages networked audio and control for the install. “We immediately knew that Q-SYS would be the best choice for the school district,” explained Jake Peery, Install Manager and System Designer at Performance Audio. “By deploying an integrated audio and control processor, we significantly cut down on programming costs before we even started the project. Removing the need for additional control processing…

Urban Outfitters Chooses the Q-SYS Ecosystem for their Philadelphia Headquarters

In 2011, Urban Outfitters moved into its new corporate campus, a complete redesign that breathed new life into the 100+ year old shell of a dilapidated navy shipyard in Philadelphia.  The facility boasts 350,000 ft² of space for its brands including Free People and Anthropologie. The campus, which includes a number of common areas like the cafeteria, coffee shop, library, fitness center and outdoor courtyard, was in need of a more integrated and flexible networked audio, video and control (AV&C) system. QSC was up to the task with the Q-SYS AV&C Ecosystem. The audio visual upgrade was a collaborative process between DBS Audio, who had provided the loudspeaker systems and Essential Communications, who had installed the original control and processing system. David Schwartz, founder of Essential Communications was looking for a more tightly integrated AV&C solution. …

Q-SYS Takes Control (and Audio) of Events at the Winnemucca Events Center

The Winnemucca Events Center, located in north-central Nevada, houses a popular multipurpose space that accommodates up to 5,000 people and shelters a retractable seating system. Winnemucca’s flexible interior hosts everything from car shows and rodeos to local high school graduations and sporting events. Realizing that the aging AV infrastructure needed an overhaul, Winnemucca brought in Boise-based integrator, Focus AV Solutions, who chose the Q-SYS Ecosystem to provide network audio and control throughout the venue. Focus AV chose the Q-SYS because it combines audio, video and control (AV&C) in a single processor. This significantly reduces hardware costs and results in less programming time as there is no need for separate control processors. A Q-SYS Core 110f handles the AV&C processing for the venue. This includes acting as the audio DSP for event sound…
