Amplifier Navigator Release 2.2.5

June 30, 2016

  • New loudspeakers – QSC E Series, AP-212sw, and and other manufacturer loudspeakers (Community Loudspeakers) in the PLD/CXD.  Added SR-1290, SR-1590, SR26, and SB-2180 in the DPA amplifiers.
  • Enabled 5th and 7th order Butterworth options in the Highpass and Lowpass filters.
  • Lowered minimum RMS Limiter Attack and Release times.
  • Added the ability to extract the amplifier logs for transmission to Technical Services.
  • Bug fixes and improvements

Windows

  • Windows 7
  • Windows 8
  • Windows 8 Pro
  • Windows 10
(install in Windows 7 compatibility mode)

Mac

  • OSX Mavericks (10.9)
  • OSX Yosemite (10.10)

DPA amplifier Preset library files created with 1.3.3 or later need to be renamed to work correctly in Amplifier Navigator. The extension should be changed from “.plf” to “.DPA.plf”. For example, a preset library file called “MyPresets.plf” containing presets from a DPA amplifier should be renamed “MyPresets.DPA.plf”.

  • If a firmware update to an amplifier fails two times, reset the amplifier by unplugging from the power source, restarting Amplifier Navigator, and try again.
  • If the firmware update is successful but the amplifier does not come back online, reset the amplifier by turning the power off then on. The amplifier will come back on with the correct firmware version.

QSC has tested and qualified two USB extenders using CAT-6 cabling for use when updating amplifier firmware. The two USB extenders are:

  • Icron 1-port USB 2.0 Ranger 2201. Reliable to 300 feet (91.4 Meters).
  • SIIG USB 2.0 4-Port Extender (JU-EX0111-S1). Reliable under 50 feet (15.2 Meters).
