    Q-SYS at The Dub Stage

    The Dub Stage, one of the top audio post-production facilities in Hollywood, has chosen QSC Q-SYS to support its audio signal processing and routing.  Q-SYS is a complete digital audio network and processing platform that allows complete flexibility and control of complex audio systems.  Originally developed for sophisticated commercial audio installations, Q-SYS can be scaled up or down to cost-effectively accommodate systems of almost any size, including 5.1, 7.1, 11.1, 13.1 and MDA (Multi-Dimensional Audio) cinema audio formats.     Colossal Sound at CinemaCon 2013

    As the loudspeaker and amplifier supplier to CinemaCon 2013, QSC Audio products were used to create what might have been the largest cinema sound system ever assembled, for special studio screenings and product reels at CinemaCon 2013. CinemaCon, which convened April 15 through 18 in Las Vegas, is the official convention of NATO (National Association of Theatre Owners), and is the world’s largest cinema trade event.  Each year at CinemaCon, the major motion picture distributors and studios preview their upcoming releases for this gathering of the world’s theatre owners and operators.  The venue for this year’s screenings was Caesar’s Palace Colosseum, a massive 4,298-seat performance space, which opened ten years ago as the “home” for world-class artists such as Celine Dion, Elton John, and Rod Stewart.     Paul Brink Joins QSC

    QSC Audio Products is pleased to announce that Paul Brink has joined the company as Cinema Sales Engineer. In his new role, Brink will be responsible for support the sales efforts of QSC cinema dealers and end users (theaters, cinemas, studios, etc.) by providing product training, technical and sales support.  Paul has an extensive background in the cinema post-production business.  Paul worked for several years at Lucasfilm, Ltd., as Systems Engineer for the THX Digital Mastering program.  His credits include Star Wars I, for which he supervised telecine, quality assurance and theatre set-up for the digital cinema release.  Prior to joining QSC, Paul was Re-Recording Engineer/Sound Editor at 20th Century Fox Studios in Century City, CA, where he was responsible for the final digital audio file used for DVD, Blu-ray, digital delivery and archive.  Brink has a degree…

    This 40-foot mobile billboard, provided by ionRepublic, will be on the streets of Las Vegas around Caesar’s Palace, site of the upcoming CinemaCon 2013 during the week of April 15 through April 18.
