QSControl.net Venue Manager version 3.20.169 - 3.20.174

Features/Fixes Added to this Release
  1. 1. Fixed the intermittent “Reset Docking Windows” menu item to always work. Requires Venue Manager restart.

    2. Amp panel meter refresh problem fixed when cycling Basis power.

    3. Fixed Design Time DRC for CobraNet. Implemented CobraNet duplicate bundle check, Transmit resolution check, max unicast receivers check. Also fixed bug with Inactive vs. Active Config not reporting correctly in the DRC window. See the CobraNet DRC topic for more information.

    4. CobraNet Online/Offline status indicators will now turn green when on for easier troubleshooting.

    5. Added “Expand Amps” option to inventory/device menu.

    6. Added Device and Amplifiers fault/standby status indicator to inventory tree. A yellow icon will appear next to the device icon to indicate amp standby. A red icon will appear next to the device when a device fault is present. Possible fault conditions are CobraNet errors and Amplifier faults such as Clip, Protect, Open, Short, OverTemp, Powered Off or Disconnected. Hovering over the status indicator will show a tooltip with the specific faults. These indicators can be enabled or disabled by checking or un-checking the desired selection in the Event Log Filter Tree.

    7. Added the ability to copy the Basis Input Sensitivity control as a combo box to QSCreator.

    8. Added the ability to activate a QSCreator panel when a Global Preset is recalled.

    9. Added the ability to link an Indicator to a Global Preset. The Indicator will light when the Global Preset is activated.

    10. Added a Scheduler to Recall Global Presets on a fixed schedule. The scheduler is available in both Venue Manager and QSCreator under the Tools menu.

    11. Fixed intermittent Notify save logic. Fixed Notify gui syncing issue when changing Venues.

    12. Added ability to show only the text value on the QSCreator knob. UpDown controls copied from Venue Manager will default to text only instead of a knob.

    13. Fixed rounding bug on Masters. For example a Delay of 5.5uS max was rounded to 6.0 on the gui controls.

    14. Added a property to the QSCreator button to Show/Hide the DSP Icon if the button is mapped to a DSP Block.

    15. Cleaned up Event log Protect. Protect is now gated on amp power up to not trigger an Event. Protect now only logs when the amp is in a fault state.

    16. Cleaned up Event log amp mode object. Fixed bug where we got false Mode changes (Bridge, and Stereo) when the amp power changed from Standby to On. Also added Parallel and Bridge/Stereo to the Event log choices which were missing.

    17. Added “Amplifier Overtemp” event the event log. We previously had a “Temperature” entry that had hard coded values of >50, >60, and > 75 to trigger a warning. This new event is based on the Boolean “OverTemp” object which triggers “event critical” depending on the user settable “Over Temp Threshold” object which defaults to 80 degrees C.

    18. Added Orange color selection for QSCreator indicators.

    19. Added the ability to show a user definable confirmation message box on a QSCreator button when it is Pressed or released.

    20. Fixed bug in the "Basis Term" utility where it crashed in Vista. Also fixed parsing error with DSP block names less than 4 characters in the Basis Term “command builder”.

    21. Fixed “Save As” bad character bug. If the user attempted to do a “Save As” with an invalid character, the venue could get out of sync.

    22. Fixed scrolling bug with NAC-100 when deleting a control item.

    23. Fixed bug where a system controller name could not be changed/saved to design mode. Therefore the CM16a’s would not come online if the venue was exported to another computer.

    24. Fixed a bug where the limit for the combination of Global Presets and Masters was not being validated correctly.

    25. Fixed multiple NAC-100 firmware issues relating to display corruption and syncing between devices.

    26. Fixed multiple BASIS firmware issues related to large config and NAC-100 syncing to Omni Input states at power up.

    27. Fixed an issue where existing screen links could get corrupted as a side effect of the deleting of the screens they were linked to.

    28. Added the ability to duplicate screens for NAC-100 devices.

    29. Added the ability to duplicate panels within QSCreator.

    30. Improved the look and feel of the CobraNet Rx and Tx panels.

    31. Added 64bit Operating System support.

    32. Added a new Event Log setting for CobraNet Bundle status.

    33. Added the ability to change the on and off colors of indicators in QSCreator.

    34. Added the ability to set the minimum and maximum values for Masters on an NAC-100 device.

    35. Added the ability to view a list of references for a selected control.

    36. Added the ability to view currently marked controls within a config or snapshot.

    37. Added functionality to snapshot mark that appears on DSP Blocks or in the Device Flow Panel. The snapshot mark will show up as yellow if only some of the controls in a given Device Flow Block or DSP Block are marked and blue if all of the controls are marked.

    38. Added right click context control menu option to allow setting a gain value on multiple sliders at once.

    39. Added right click context control menu option to allow toggling of multiple toggle buttons at once.

    40. Added a Summary List option for Global Presets, Masters and Indicator Masters.

    41. Added the ability to select multiple controls using mouse "Drag Selection".

IMPORTANT NOTES

SOFTWARE/HARDWARE FIREWALL SETTINGS:
For communication between QSControl.net and any configured devices the firewall MUST be properly configured or disabled.

NOTE: After unblocking the required programs or ports, please restart the following programs to ensure proper communication between all devices: Venue Manager client, Venue Service, Notify, and QSCreator.

To unblock by "Program", unblock the programs in the following (default) directories:
C:\Program Files\QSCAudio\QSControl.net
  • Applications\QSControlNET.exe
  • Applications\QSCreator.exe
  • Applications\Notify.exe
  • Applications\NotifyGUI.exe
  • Server\VenueService.exe
  • Server\VenueServiceControlApplet.exe
  • Server\Vista\tftp.exe (if using Vista )
To unblock by port, unblock the following:
  • UDP port 2501 for QSControl.net Venue Service or third party communications with CM16a products.
  • TCP ports 4444 and 4445 for communications between QSControl.net Venue Service and BASIS Platform Products.
  • TCP port 4446 for third party communications with BASIS Platform Products.
  • TCP port 9000 for communication between a QSControl.net Venue Manager Remote Client and a local QSControl.net Venue Service communicating with BASIS Platform Products or CM16a products.
  • Include the program C:\Program Files\QSC Audio\QSControl.net\Server\Vista\TFTP.EXE in the exception list for the Vista firewall.
  • UDP port 625 for network discovery of BASIS units.
  • UDP port 69 for TFTP firmware update.
NOTE: Windows XP with Service Pack 2 and Vista include a software firewall that is enabled by default.

WINDOWS AUTOMATIC UPDATE SETTINGS:
If the system is used for real-time adjustments, monitoring or configuration of audio systems, then automatic updates (located in the Windows Control Panel) MUST be configured for manual updates or be disabled.

WINDOWS POWER MANAGEMENT SETTINGS:
If the system is used for real-time adjustments, monitoring or configuration of audio systems, then we recommend all Windows Power Options (located in the Windows Control Panel) be disabled. Display, hard drive, system standby and hibernation settings should be set to “Never”. This avoids waiting for the system to “wake-up” if adjustment is needed after an elapsed period of time.
